Prairie Dunes, Hutchison, Kansas
Gary Cowan suggested that I make an effort to play golf at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchison, Kansas. Prairie Dunes has hosted many major championships and is hosting the 2002 USGA Women's Open. It is consistently listed in the top 20 golf courses in the U.S. Gary gave me the phone number of his friend Densmore Hart who is a member. The course can only be played by member's and their guests. Densmore was most gracious and arranged a game with himself and Joe Beaudet. Mark Bourgeois also joined us for a great day on the Prairie Dunes course. While in Kansas I stayed one night in Russell and went by Bob Dole's home. And while in Hutchison I toured the Cosmosphere Space Museum.
